Challenge:A national medical supplies manufacturer realized the need to consolidate sales report cards & national ranking reports of 39 field operations spread across North America. Multiple data stores as a result of rapid growth and acquisitions contain a fragmented collection of information. Integrating this information has proven difficult because of the sheer volume of information that these data stores contain and because of the inconsistencies in the way data was captured and defined. To get the latest sales information, senior management would call several people and wait days for them to process financial reports that often were out of date by the time they got them.
